Future Stars Volunteer Project is a Social Enterprise with the aim to:
“Provide an affordable and ethical volunteer project, which brings a sustainable flow of donations to our partner charity, the Future Leaders UCC, to enable it to develop and expand its life changing work.”
Our strategic aims are:
- To provide a high quality, safe and supportive service to volunteers travelling to Ghana.
- To invest in the volunteers and see them progress in their personal development.
- To offer volunteers a placement where they feel valued and appreciated and where their contribution makes a significant difference to the project they are working with.
- To make a significant financial contribution to the Future Leaders UCC’s running costs.
- To provide the finances to be able to see the Future Leaders UCC project develop.
Future Stars Volunteer Project is a non-profit organisation and we aim to invest 50% of every placement fee into our partner charity project. We do inevitably have overheads to cover, but we always strive to minimise these costs and ensure that your fee contributes to the charity.
Volunteering is a great way to make a difference in developing countries whilst gaining relevant work and life experiences. It is a fantastic opportunity to share skills and knowledge to help develop the abilities of eager and enthusiastic children in Ghana.
Volunteering at the Future Leaders UCC is a great opportunity for people on a gap year or career break to transfer their skills, expertise and even professions to volunteer in Ghana; and have the opportunity to experience the rich culture of Ghana as well as help to contribute to the development of education and sports projects.
Aside from this there is the opportunity to meet and socialise with other like minded people in the volunteer group as well as local people in Ghana...
